Job summary

OrganOx, a UK-based organ technology company, seeks a Senior Digital Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer in Oxford. The role designs, builds and secures cloud infrastructure for digital products and connected services, with an emphasis on regulated healthcare software and scalable environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive IaC and CI/CD, and collaborate across Digital and Data teams to ensure robust, compliant platform delivery. Office-based with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in infrastructure, DevOps, cloud engineering, or software delivery (essential).
• Strong hands‑on Microsoft Azure experience across networking, IAM, storage, compute, monitoring and cost management (essential).
• Experience with IaC, CI/CD, environment management, automated deployment, testing and release controls (essential).
• Strong scripting, automation, troubleshooting, observability, logging, alerting, and incident diagnosis (essential).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, encryption, auditability and compliance for regulated software (essential).
• Ability to support software teams and partners through development, deployment and platform support (essential).
• Knowledge of Azure data services, Databricks, SAP integration, ETL/ELT pipelines, data governance (essential).
• Strong communication and mentoring across technical and non-technical teams (essential).
• Experience with regulated software development processes (desirable).
• Experience with connected medical device platforms or cloud health services (desirable).
• Experience with containerisation, Kubernetes, AKS, API management, or similar (desirable).
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400 (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, secure, and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure for Org anOx digital products, connected device services, development environments, and production deployments.
• Own and improve core platform capabilities across networking, IAM, storage, compute, monitoring, backup, resilience, security, and cost control.
• Implement repeatable infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automated deployment, testing, release controls, and operational handover practices.
• Collaborate with software engineering teams and partners to support development, integration, validation, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing platform support.
• Establish monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and incident-support practices to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure infrastructure and delivery practices support cybersecurity, data protection, access control, encryption, auditability, and compliance expectations for regulated software.
• Provide input for shared Digital/Data platforms, including connected device cloud services, Azure resources, Databricks, SAP interfaces, data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers, contribute to standards, and maintain architecture/runbook/documentation.
• Adhere to OrganOx Code of Conduct and company policies.
