Job summary

Talantir in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms for a range of clients. You will work across AWS environments, partnering with engineering teams to improve developer experience, reliability, and security.

The role focuses on infrastructure as code with Terraform, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native patterns, in a remote-first hybrid setup with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS platform engineering
• Solid IaC experience (Terraform essential; CDK/CloudFormation a bonus)
• Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms
• Good understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices
• AWS networking knowledge (VPCs, load balancing, connectivity)
• Comfortable working in client-facing or consulting environments
• Clear communicator with a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset
• Experience within public sector or central government

Responsibilities

• Designing and operating AWS-based platform components
• Building infrastructure using Terraform
• Improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting containerised workloads using Kubernetes/EKS
• Enabling cloud-native patterns with application teams
• Implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Creating reusable templates and platform patterns
• Contributing to platform reliability, scalability, and security
• Mentoring and sharing knowledge across teams
