Job summary

PEXA Group is expanding in the UK with a Senior Platform Engineer role focused on building and operating the AWS platform behind PEXA Go. You’ll work with senior engineers to improve deployment, monitoring and reliability, ensuring security and resilience while supporting a growing international team.

This hands-on role involves on-call support and close collaboration with software, product, and risk teams. A hybrid work model and potential remote options are offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS production workloads.
• Experience using IaC, scripting and automation for platform changes.
• Familiarity with containerised apps and Kubernetes.
• Experience setting up monitoring, logging and alerting to diagnose production issues.
• Ability to investigate incidents and apply safe, well-documented changes.
• Understanding of cloud security, networking, resilience, backup and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the AWS infrastructure and platform services used by PEXA Go.
• Implement infra changes through code and automation for repeatability.
• Deliver upgrades and lifecycle work while identifying risks early.
• Improve monitoring, logging and alerting across the platform.
• Investigate incidents and help restore service; document follow-up actions.
• Apply security controls and engineering standards to infra and changes.
• Keep stakeholders informed about progress, risks and options.
• Share knowledge to improve platform day-to-day operations.
