Hippo is a rapidly growing digital consultancy seeking a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer (Managed Services) in Manchester. You will shape architectural vision, define standards, and influence strategic tech directions for clients and internal teams.

You will lead complex programs, mentor engineers, contribute to pre-sales, and ensure secure, scalable, and well-engineered platforms. Expect travel and on-site work with a generous relocation package.

Qualifications

• Extensive senior DevOps or Technical Architect experience.
• Expert proficiency with AWS and multi-cloud architectures.
• Python automation and scripting expertise.
• Hands-on Kubernetes (EKS) and CI/CD tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision, standards and best practices across Hippo's delivery practice.
• Lead complex engagements and guide long-term technical strategy for clients.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and senior engineers to grow skills and impact.
• Drive pre-sales activity and shape new business opportunities.
