Job summary

Hippo is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will shape architectural standards, guide senior client stakeholders, and lead strategic DevOps engagements across multiple clients. Expect hands-on leadership, mentoring, and involvement in pre-sales and growth initiatives.

You will influence technical direction, drive secure, scalable cloud solutions, and contribute to Hippo's communities while operating within a flexible, travel-friendly UK delivery model.

Qualifications

• Senior-level DevOps/Architect with lead transformations.
• Expert in AWS and multi-cloud architectures.
• Proficient in Python for automation and scripting.
• Hands-on Kubernetes (EKS) and CI/CD tooling expertise.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Define architectural vision and set standards for Hippo delivery.
• Advise senior stakeholders on long-term tech strategy.
• Lead complex engagements and ensure automation quality.
• Mentor DevOps and engineering teams across squads.
• Drive pre-sales and shape new opportunities.
