Job summary

Hippo Digital is seeking a Senior DevOps/Technical Architect to lead large-scale digital transformations in the UK. The role requires AWS expertise, multi-cloud design, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, Python automation, and strong stakeholder engagement at the C-suite level.

You will drive pre-sales, mentor engineers, and guide architectural decisions while participating in an on-call rota to support Managed Services. The company offers a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• We require extensive senior-level experience as a DevOps or Technical Architect, with a proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformations.
• We require expert proficiency with AWS cloud services and designing complex architectures, including multi-cloud strategies.
• We require expertise in Python for advanced automation and scripting.
• We require hands-on experience in Kubernetes (EKS) and advanced CI/CD tooling.
• We require Infrastructure-as-Code skills with Terraform for complex deployments.
• We require ability to influence and communicate with C-suite stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• We define and evangelise architectural vision, standards, and best practices across delivery.
• We serve as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding long-term strategy.
• We lead complex engagements, providing oversight for automated infrastructure.
• We mentor DevOps engineers and senior engineers to grow skills.
• We drive pre-sales and bids, shaping new opportunities.
• We contribute to thought leadership through public speaking and writing.
• We act as technical authority, communicating key architectural decisions.
• We lead recruitment and ensure community contribution across Managed Services, DevOps and Engineering.
