Job summary

Nter Talent is partnering with a logistics-focused tech business in Manchester to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS). You’ll own the AWS environment, drive reliability and security, and directly influence architecture with the CTO and engineering team.

With 6+ years in DevOps, you’ll design scalable pipelines, optimise ECS/Fargate, RDS/MySQL, and build IaC. This role offers genuine ownership, a hands-on team, and the chance to scale a high-traffic platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or AWS infra.
• Strong AWS experience, ECS/Fargate-focused.
• Experience with Docker, Terraform/CloudFormation and CI/CD.
• Production RDS/MySQL management and optimisation.
• Linux, networking, security and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Owning and evolving AWS infrastructure across production environments.
• Optimising ECS/Fargate, EC2, RDS/MySQL and containerised workloads.
• Improving platform performance, reliability, monitoring and security.
• Developing Infrastructure-as-Code and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshooting complex production issues across databases, networking, applications and infrastructure.
• Building scalable architecture that can handle continued growth.
