Job summary

Scrumconnect is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to support large-scale digital services in a complex cloud environment in the UK. You will build, maintain, and optimise AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud operations across environments.

Collaborating with software developers, architects, testers and delivery teams, you will implement secure networking, IAM controls, FinOps governance, and ensure accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience managing multiple environments within AWS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Experience supporting modern architectures: React front-end, microservices, AWS Lambda, Kafka.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of AWS networking: Transit Gateway, PrivateLink.
• Experience administering IAM, MFA, and security controls.
• Knowledge of API management platforms such as Kong Enterprise.
• Experience implementing cloud governance and FinOps practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and manage multiple AWS environments across dev, test, staging, and production.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines with Git-based tooling.
• Manage AWS infrastructure for React front-end, microservices, Lambda, and Kafka.
• Support ETL processes and RPA integrations.
• Implement secure networking patterns using Transit Gateway and PrivateLink.
• Deploy and manage Kong Enterprise API Gateway.
• Administer IAM, MFA, and security controls for developers.
• Tag resources and govern them per FinOps standards.
• Monitor performance, availability, and reliability across environments.
• Collaborate to improve automation and deployment efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployments.
• Contribute to cloud security best practices and continuous improvement.
• Support accessible digital services aligning with WCAG 2.2 AAA.
