Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, IaC, and modern web front-end work. You will implement REST/GraphQL APIs, contribute to microservices, and drive secure, scalable DevSecOps practices across regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS services experience: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, Cognito, CloudWatch.
• Proven AWS workload design, deployment and operation experience.
• Experience in highly regulated and secure environments.
• Hands-on EKS/Kubernetes production-grade clusters.
• Experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures.
• Platform reliability, scalability and observability.
• CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (mandatory).
• Helm-based deployment and configuration management.
• Scripting in Python and Bash.
• TypeScript proficiency and React frontend experience.
• REST and GraphQL API development.
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with TDD and testing frameworks.
• Security by design and DevSecOps practices.
• Troubleshooting across complex distributed systems and strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud-native apps using AWS serverless services.
• Architect and support regulated, multi-tenant EKS/Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/CDK/CloudFormation.
• Build and support modern web apps using React and TypeScript.
• Implement and optimise REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Contribute to event-driven and microservices architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, enable CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot across the stack.
