Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking an experienced Technical Solutions Engineer to support the design, delivery and performance of aviation ground-network solutions in Crawley. This hybrid, customer-facing role spans pre-sales support, solution development and on-site delivery.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex tech challenges, strengthen service reliability and drive improvements across aviation networking platforms.

Qualifications

• Foundational networking concepts, IP-based systems and telecommunications.
• Experience in technical troubleshooting, systems support or operational engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with customer engagement confidence.
• Ability to analyse data, identify anomalies and communicate evidence-based conclusions.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales technical expertise for RFPs, pricing exercises and customer solution design.
• Develop practical technical solutions to meet customer requirements and enable project delivery.
• Investigate service faults, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Analyse service performance data and translate findings into actionable conclusions.
• Coordinate technical implementation activities and provide on-site customer support.
