Job summary

MetLife's Global Technology team is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer (Automation) to design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, batch, database, and file-based systems. This role blends hands-on testing with AI-driven workflow optimization in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with product, development, DevOps, and release stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery, following strong engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in software testing with a focus on automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java and C#.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate test case development and defect analysis.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for planning, test management, reporting, and pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks (creation, enhancements, maintenance).
• Write and maintain automated tests using Java and C#, with clean code and maintainability.
• Author, test, and evangelize AI optimization Agents, Skills, and Instructions for faster automation.
• Guide product teams to create test plans, test approach docs, and execute test strategies.
• Troubleshoot test and software issues using logs and monitoring to identify root causes and fixes.
