Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to deliver automation expertise for day-to-day operational support across Worcester and Gloucester. You will program, maintain, and repair Rockwell and Mitsubishi PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, enabling data-driven decisions and improved process control.

You will lead in process improvements, telemetry and instrumentation work for pressure, flow, level, chlorine residual, turbidity and pH, and ensure ICA systems are standardized and aligned

Qualifications

Experience programming, maintaining and repairing Rockwell and Mitsubishi PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
Ability to work with industrial control networks and data analysis tasks.
Knowledge of ICA systems standards and software backups.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day automation support to water, waste and bio resources operational teams.
Deliver process control and visualisation improvements to increase efficiencies.
Ensure new ICA installations meet STW standards.
Lead in management of software backups and control for ICA systems in the area.
