Job summary

G Force Recruitment has a permanent opening for a Software Controls Engineer in the UK. You will own automation across multiple projects, designing PLC/HMI/SCADA solutions using Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell AB, from concept through FAT/SAT testing.

You will work on high-value processes across FMCG, pharmaceutical and packaging sectors, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while travel to sites in Europe as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Siemens TIA Portal and AB Rockwell.
• Experience with safety standards in high‑value projects.
• Degree or higher in Electrical/Control/Software Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC/HMI/SCADA control systems from scratch.
• Produce FDS and O&M manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering and process teams to ensure safety, quality and compliance.
• Support FAT/SAT testing and field issues with remote and on-site help.
• Handle multiple projects from £50k to £15m in value.
