Job summary

bk plus is seeking an experienced Audit Manager in the United Kingdom to lead delivery of high-quality audit services for a diverse client portfolio. You will manage audit engagements, develop teams, and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include planning and reviewing assignments, mentoring staff, acting as the main client contact, and supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/ACCA with significant audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and financial reporting standards.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements and client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors.
• Plan, oversee, and review audit assignments from inception through to completion.
• Lead, mentor, and develop audit team members, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
• Review financial statements, audit files, and reports to ensure quality and compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues.
• Support business development activities and identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
• Assist partners with practice management and strategic initiatives.
