bk plus is recruiting an Audit Manager to join the Stoke-on-Trent team. The role focuses on developing the operational capabilities of the audit team to support growth within the division.

You will manage a portfolio of audit and assurance clients, lead engagements from planning through sign-off, and mentor audit seniors, semi-seniors and trainees while ensuring compliance with ISA UK and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong technical ability with audit and accounting experience.
• Good communication skills to develop and grow the business.
• Effective management style with track record in mentoring talent.
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory awareness.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of audit and assurance clients across sectors.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion and sign-off.
• Review files and working papers for ISA UK compliance and firm standards.
• Assess audit risks and devise audit strategies.
• Review statutory financial statements under FRS 102/105, IFRS and Charities SORP as applicable.
• Ensure assignments meet budgets and deadlines.
• Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues encountered on assignments.
• Monitor engagement profitability and recoverability.
