Job summary

Ambition in Cheltenham seeks an Associate Director to lead audit, accounts and tax work for a diverse client base. You will manage your own portfolio, guiding junior staff and coordinating cross-team collaboration to deliver compliant financial reporting and advisory services.

You will oversee planning and execution of audits, liaise with clients on complex matters, and contribute to strategic finance projects. A strong track record in practice is essential.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven supervisory experience within an audit practice.
• Strong project management and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of a client portfolio across audit, accounts, tax and advisory work.
• Plan and lead audit fieldwork and statutory reporting end-to-end.
• Be the day-to-day point of contact for clients on site.
• Collaborate with internal tax team for pre-year-end planning.
• Contribute to corporate finance assignments as they arise.
