Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a qualified audit leader to head delivery for a diverse client portfolio near Cheltenham. You will oversee complex engagements, provide strategic guidance, and act as a trusted adviser on technical and regulatory matters.

You will manage end-to-end service delivery, contribute to remuneration planning, and support corporate transactions while expanding the client base through proactive business development.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA/CA/ACCA.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs and Companies Act.
• Proven ability to develop and grow client relationships.
• Proactive, self-sufficient working style with decision-making autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit delivery for a portfolio of clients with turnover from £1m to £100m, ensuring high standards.
• Build trusted client relationships and act as adviser on technical, commercial and regulatory matters.
• Own service delivery across the portfolio, including remuneration planning and group structure considerations.
• Guide clients through acquisitions, disposals and fundraising processes.
• Drive business development and pursue new audit and non-audit opportunities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead audit delivery for a portfolio of clients with turnover ranging from £1m to £100m, ensuring consistently high standards of quality and service
• Build trusted, long-term client relationships, acting as the go-to adviser on technical, commercial, and regulatory matters
• Take full ownership of service delivery across the portfolio, including remuneration planning and corporate group structure considerations
• Guide and support clients through significant corporate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, and fundraising processes
• Play an active role in business development, both through nurturing existing client relationships and pursuing new audit and non-audit opportunities

What We're Looking For

• ACA, CA, or ACCA qualified
• Solid and current technical knowledge across UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs, and Companies Act legislation
• Confidence in business development and a demonstrable track record of managing and growing client relationships
• A proactive, self-sufficient working style, with the ability to take ownership and make sound decisions independently

Nice to Have

• Experience managing a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors
• Exposure to corporate finance or transactional advisory work within a practice setting
