Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are seeking a Senior Adviser to join their Audit, Accounting & Advisory team in Blackburn or Bury, Lancashire. The role focuses around 75% on statutory audits, with the remainder on year-end accounts and ad hoc advisory projects.

You will work with a diverse range of corporate clients, supervising audit assignments, building client relationships and supporting junior team members, with flexible hybrid working and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach with ability to manage workloads and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Undertake statutory audits for a varied portfolio of corporate clients.
• Assist with year-end accounts preparation and advisory assignments.
• Manage and supervise audit teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Work closely with managers, directors and partners on audit assignments.
• Provide training, guidance and support to junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit quality and operational efficiency.
• Progress towards taking responsibility for smaller audits and reporting to Responsible Individuals.
