ALECTO RECRUITMENT LTD is seeking a Senior Audio Visual Engineer for Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. The role combines hands-on installation, programming, and mentoring junior team members on-site, with close collaboration to project managers.

You will lead high-end AV installations and ensure top-tier design integration. Applicants should have strong IT/networking knowledge, client-facing skills, and experience with Control4 or Crestron.

About the Role: We are looking for a skilled Senior AV Engineer to join our team. This role involves a mix of hands-on installation, programming, and mentoring junior team members on-site. You’ll be working closely with our project managers to lead AV installations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

You should be comfortable working directly with clients, building strong relationships, and collaborating with other trades on-site. Attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion for delivering outstanding results are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AV and smart home installations on client sites

What The Client is Looking For

• Experience with Control4, Crestron, or similar automation systems (programming experience is a bonus)
• Hands-on experience with AV installations, including video matrix systems, lighting control, and networking solutions
• Familiarity with brands such as Lutron, Rako, Blustream, AVPro Edge, Ubiquiti, and Ruckus
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
• CEDIA or AVIXA certification (advantageous but not essential)

Standard hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (with flexibility based on project requirements)

Occasional overnight stays may be required (kept to a minimum)
