Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Senior AV Installation Engineer to lead commercial AV installation projects and on-site teams across London and surrounding areas. You will oversee everything from first fix to final handover, ensuring high-quality, tested, and compliant systems.

The role requires strong AV signal flow knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and prior leadership on-site. A UK driving licence and SSSTS certification are essential, with opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial AV installation projects from first fix through to final handover, ensuring systems are installed, tested, commissioned and delivered to the highest standard.
• Lead installation teams on customer sites across the UK.
• Deliver structured cabling, rack builds, equipment installation and system integration.
• Test, fault-find and commission AV systems.
• Work with project managers and technical designers to ensure projects are delivered exactly as specified.
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors and site teams.
• Maintain installation records and quality documentation.
• Conduct site quality checks and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support, coach and develop junior engineers and apprentices.
• Contribute to service, maintenance and remedial works as needed.

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum

Location: London and surrounding areas (Home Counties)

What you'll be responsible for

• Lead commercial AV installation projects from first fix through to final handover, ensuring every system is installed, tested, commissioned and delivered to the highest standard.
• Lead installation teams on customer sites across the UK.
• Deliver structured cabling, rack builds, equipment installation and system integration.
• Test, fault‑find and commission AV systems.
• Work closely with project managers and technical designers to ensure projects are delivered exactly as specified.
• Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors and site teams.
• Maintain accurate installation records and quality documentation.
• Conduct site quality checks and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Support, coach and develop junior engineers and apprentices.
• Contribute to service, maintenance and remedial works when required.
