Senior Associate Solicitor – Corporate

TSR Legal is assisting a respected national law firm with the appointment of a Senior Associate Solicitor to join its expanding Corporate team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer seeking to develop their career within a successful and established practice.

The successful candidate will advise a broad range of clients, including UK and international businesses, shareholders, investors and entrepreneurs. The role will involve a varied corporate caseload covering mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, equity and debt funding, restructurings and wider corporate advisory matters.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and leading a range of corporate transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
• Advising clients on corporate governance and strategic business matters.
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Working with colleagues across different offices as part of a national corporate practice.
• Developing client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
• Playing an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

This position provides exposure to high-quality work and the opportunity to further develop technical expertise, commercial skills and client-facing experience.

About You

They are seeking a corporate lawyer with around 3+ Years PQE who is looking for the next stage of their career within a leading corporate team.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.
• Experience managing transactions and taking responsibility for key aspects of matters.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• A commercial mindset and the ability to understand clients’ objectives.
• Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• An interest in developing client relationships and supporting business growth.

Experience of debt finance would be beneficial, and exposure to the healthcare sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

The successful candidate will be a motivated and approachable lawyer who enjoys supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge and delivering a high standard of service to clients.
