Job summary

Leading International Firm in Birmingham is seeking a Senior or Principal Associate with 4 PQE+ to handle a broad corporate workload including M&A, private equity, ECM, joint ventures and group restructurings, in a hybrid, full-time role.

You will work with a large national team of corporate lawyers, advise high-profile UK and international clients, and take a lead on relationships and business development, with clear progression and a supportive, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years' PQE in corporate law, ideally gained in a well-regarded firm.
• Strong experience in M&A and/or private equity transactions.
• Excellent technical, drafting, and commercial skills.
• A collaborative and proactive approach with a desire to take on client-facing responsibilities.
• A genuine interest in developing long-term relationships and contributing to business growth.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a broad range of high-quality corporate matters including M&A, private equity, joint ventures, ECM, and group restructurings.
• Work closely with a well-established, collaborative team of 70+ corporate lawyers nationally, including five equity partners based in Birmingham.
• Act for a wide variety of major UK and international clients, many of whom are involved in multi-jurisdictional transactions.
• Take a key role in client relationship management and business development, with the opportunity to lead on transactions and develop your profile internally and externally.

The Role

As a Senior or Principal Associate in this team, you will:
