Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Senior Associate for its Professional & Financial Risks team in Bristol. You will manage a varied caseload in professional indemnity, advising on regulatory issues, risk management, and policy coverage for insurers, while supporting business development and mentoring junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Professional indemnity litigation experience
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures and litigation processes
• Ability to deliver legal and commercial solutions with clients and colleagues
• Proven track record of managing and developing client relationships
• Commitment to business development and identifying commercial opportunities
• Commercial mindset with awareness of pricing, resourcing, and profitability
• Leadership skills with experience coaching junior team members
• Strong organisational skills and efficiency
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal IT systems

Responsibilities

• Defend liability claims pre- and post-litigation
• Advise on regulatory issues, risk management and Ombudsman complaints
• Handle policy coverage issues for insurers
• Work on matters involving a wide range of professions with varying claim values
• Deliver high-quality, timely outputs to clients per SLAs
• Contribute to development and improvement of team processes
• Capture and collate management information for clients
• Support business development and client relationship management
• Coach and develop junior team members
