Job summary

Chadwick Nott is recruiting for an Associate in its Professional & Financial Risks team in Bristol. This is a 0-4 year PQE role with a focus on managing professional indemnity claims and advising on regulatory issues.

You will handle a varied caseload, deliver high-quality client service to insurers, and contribute to team development within a hybrid working environment. Applications encouraged from qualified solicitors with strong communication and commercial awareness.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years PQE with litigation background essential; insurance experience desirable.
• Strong knowledge of legal procedures and litigation processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver commercial solutions and build strong client relationships.
• Confident to manage matters independently and efficiently.
• High attention to detail, organization, and adaptability.
• Commitment to financial hygiene and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload of professional indemnity claims.
• Defending liability claims pre- and post-litigation.
• Advising on regulatory issues, risk management, and Ombudsman complaints.
• Handling policy coverage issues for insurers.
• Delivering high-quality, timely client service aligned with SLAs.
• Contributing to team development, process improvements, and business initiatives.
• Capturing and collating management information for clients.
• Supporting a collaborative and client-focused team culture.
