Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a talented analyst for its Low Carbon Solutions team in the UK. You will combine technical analysis with commercial insight to support the transition to low-carbon energy systems across energy networks, buildings, and smart energy projects.

Ideal candidates hold a 2.1 degree in physical sciences, engineering or economics, and possess strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in physical sciences, engineering, economics or related discipline with 2:1 classification.
• Strong interest in sustainability and low-carbon energy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex datasets.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into energy technologies, markets, and regulatory frameworks through structured analysis and engagement with industry stakeholders.
• Undertake quantitative analysis of energy systems and technologies, including development of techno-economic models.
• Use Python and other analytical packages to support data analysis and development of reproducible analysis.
• Prepare clear and well-structured reports, presentations, and briefing materials for clients.
• Build effective working relationships with clients and stakeholders, and support meetings and workshops.
• Communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
