Skilled Careers is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer in London with hybrid work options. You will lead electrical design for building services across multiple sectors, guiding projects from concept to detailed design with strong emphasis on sustainability and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, and contribute to business development while maintaining client relationships and project quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership (CEng/IET/CIBSE).
• Strong electrical design experience in commercial environments.
• Knowledge of net zero and low carbon design is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical design on building services projects from inception to completion, aligning with sustainability targets, timelines, budgets and specs.
• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, small power, fire and security, and renewable energy per UK standards.
• Provide expert technical guidance to the engineering team and promote innovative solutions.
• Review designs, calculations and documentation for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Act as key client contact, manage relationships and ensure project expectations are met.
• Coordinate with mechanical, public health and wider design teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers.
• Contribute to project budgets and monitor financials.
• Support business development, bids, and fee proposals.
