Job summary

Skilled Careers is looking for an Associate Director to lead electrical bias and building services projects from inception through delivery in a hybrid London setting. You will guide design teams, ensure regulatory compliance and promote innovative solutions across sectors.

You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships and contribute to budgets and bids, while working with senior leadership on strategic goals and knowledge sharing across disciplines.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• CEng and Member of CIBSE, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience leading net zero, PassivHaus and low carbon projects.
• Excellent design experience in a commercial environment.
• Proven track record in design and project delivery across M&E systems and building types.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and electrical building services projects from inception to completion.
• Oversee design in line with UK regulations, standards and best practice.
• Provide expert guidance to the engineering team and promote innovation.
• Review designs and calculations for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Act as main client contact, manage expectations and relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and project teams.
• Contribute to budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Drive business development, write bids and proposals.
