This Canadian-born business founded in 1978 has grown to become a global commercial real estate advisory firm employing 5000 people in 120 locations across 20 countries. This opportunity is for a Senior / Associate level Electrical engineer to join an exciting and successful Building Consultancy team, based in London. You will work on a variety of professional and project work for investors, lenders, occupiers, developers, and the public sector. Their broad client mix offers opportunities for travel around the UK and Europe with exposure to diverse property types. The Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health (MEP) engineering team offers traditional MEP design and consultancy services alongside surveying and project management activities with sustainability at the core of their work. Their expertise spans sectors including office, industrial, retail, education, government, healthcare, aviation, and residential.
They seek an electrically biased building services engineer to support building surveyors in providing engineering consultancy services that complement building surveying and project management activities. This role is ideal for someone with a background in MEP consulting or design and contracting, aiming to transition into a corporate real estate environment. Flexible working arrangements from home and office are available, but travel for site inspections is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
The candidate should be working towards or have achieved Chartered Engineer status, with professional qualifications from bodies like CIBSE, IET, or IMechE. A minimum of 5 years' industry experience is required, with proven skills in reports, detailed design, and site inspections. Familiarity with working in multidisciplinary environments and conducting surveys and reporting is essential. Strong communication skills and experience across sectors such as commercial, retail, healthcare, residential, and leisure are desirable. Key attributes include client focus, leadership, teamwork, communication, enthusiasm, and a proactive attitude.
