Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Senior Associate Director to join our team. In this role, you will lead and inspire multiple teams, ensuring the delivery of innovative, thought-provoking projects that meet the highest standards of design and are completed on time and within budget. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, receiving minimal supervision from the Director, while providing essential support to junior colleagues to help them achieve their full potential.

Beyond supporting the overall business development strategy, you will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities and expanding our reach into future markets and sectors. You will be at the forefront of building lasting relationships and enhancing client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

• Lead the successful delivery of multiple projects, maintaining high standards of quality and technical expertise.
• Demonstrate expertise or increasing specialization in key design and technical areas.
• Maintain comprehensive oversight of the entire project lifecycle, ensuring client satisfaction and project excellence.
• Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring opportunities for repeat business are maximized.

Leadership:

• Role model our company’s core values, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and the sharing of best practices.
• Work with HR to build strong, high-performing teams by providing leadership, guidance, and training for junior team members.
• Initiate and lead brainstorming sessions and other studio activities, driving creativity and managing conflicts effectively.

Client Relationships:

• Serve as the primary contact for clients, making significant contributions in meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with PR, Marketing, and Business Development teams to enhance communication and generate new business.
• Lead the preparation of fee proposals and negotiations, ensuring client satisfaction while maximizing project value.

Budget Control:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of project finance, cost control, and fee management.
• Ensure project fees are optimized without compromising client relationships or future opportunities for repeat work.

About You:

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams across complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong track record in client management, with the ability to engage potential clients and secure new business.
• Commercially astute, with the ability to make informed decisions that drive profitability and success.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, able to foster collaboration, innovation, and high performance within teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, staying composed and focused under pressure.
• Proficient in industry-standard computer applications relevant to design and project management.
• Degree in a related design field or equivalent certification.
• Professional registration (CMLI or equivalent) preferred.
