Job summary

HSBC Trustee (C.I.) Limited is seeking an Associate Director for the Family Office team to lead the management of sophisticated trust and corporate structures for ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. You’ll work with GPB colleagues and international advisers to deliver joined‑up relationship management across jurisdictions.

You will shape how the team operates, develop colleagues, and provide direction on complex matters, ensuring risk controls and high-quality client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of trust and company administration at supervisory level.
• Experience managing complex client relationships and providing technical guidance to colleagues.
• In-depth knowledge of Jersey regulatory environment including AML/CFT requirements.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders and negotiation to deliver positive outcomes.
• Demonstrated people-management capability including coaching or mentoring colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of a portfolio of complex trust and corporate structures for Family Office clients.
• Guide Trust Relationship Managers in managing succession-planning structures for GPB clients.
• Build trusted relationships with international families and senior stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to colleagues managing complex structures.
• Ensure relationship management aligns with HSBC’s risk-management framework and applicable laws.
• Identify and mitigate structure-specific risks through engagement with internal and external advisers.
• Improve processes and ways of working to enhance client experience and efficiency.
• Contribute to team initiatives, revenue oversight and key performance indicators.
• Act as an authorised signatory where required.
