Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an Associate Director to manage a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed clients across accounts, tax and advisory matters. You will lead client relationships, delivering proactive business advice and identifying opportunities to grow recurring fee income.

You will oversee portfolio performance, including WIP, recoverability, billing and fee budgets, while mentoring managers and supporting growth.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a portfolio of SME/owner‑managed clients in an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to win and grow recurring advisory work.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication to senior client stakeholders.
• Passion for technology, innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients across accounts, tax and advisory matters.
• Lead client relationships and deliver proactive business advice while growing recurring fee income.
• Oversee WIP, recoverability, billing and fee budgets within the portfolio.
• Support business development through networking, referrals and cross‑selling.
• Mentor and develop managers and teams and contribute to strategic direction.
