Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of SME clients, provide commercial advice, and prepare statutory accounts and tax computations. You will join a supportive team with opportunities to develop technical and advisory skills.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME clients, acting as their main point of contact.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Attend regular client meetings, providing commercial advice and identifying potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Review VAT returns for a varied client base.
• Complete up to 10 audits per year from planning through to completion (audit experience beneficial but not essential).
• Assist with the preparation of charity accounts where required, with training available.
• Work closely with a collaborative team while building long-term client relationships.
