Pinsent Masons in the UK is seeking a Senior Associate or Managing Senior Associate to join our market‑leading Technology, Media & Telecommunications team, specialising in financial data licensing, data commercialisation and strategic technology transactions.

With offices across London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow, you will advise major banks, asset managers and financial institutions on data‑driven deals, supervise junior lawyers where appropriate, and help grow the practice through

Qualifications

• Typically 5-10 years post-qualification experience in technology, data licensing or related commercial contracts.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex data licensing and technology agreements.
• Strong client management and cross‑functional team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise, draft and negotiate financial market data licensing agreements for major institutions.
• Analyze data licensing agreements for AI use permissions and compliance.
• Lead negotiations on complex technology and data transactions and supervise junior lawyers when applicable.
• Support business development and contribute to growth of the data licensing practice.
• Collaborate with IP, regulatory and corporate teams to provide integrated advice.
