Job summary

Pinsent Masons is seeking a Senior Associate or Managing Senior Associate to join its market-leading TMT team, specialising in financial data licensing, data commercialisation and tech transactions. London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Glasgow are available locations, with 5–10 PQE expected.

You will work on licensing, commercial and technology agreements for large financial institutions, shaping data-driven strategies across data products and AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on contracts for licensing of financial market data.
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience in technology or data-focused matters.

Responsibilities

• Advising, drafting and negotiating financial market data licensing agreements.
• Analysing data licensing agreements for AI-use permissions.
• Advising on audits and contractual remediation projects.
• Drafting and negotiating complex technology and commercial agreements.
• Supporting clients on AI and machine-learning initiatives.
• Managing multi-stakeholder negotiations with banks, exchanges and data vendors.
• Collaborating with IP, regulatory and corporate teams for integrated advice.
• Contributing to business development and growth of the data licensing practice.
