Job summary

Stantec in Cardiff is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to lead delivery across civil engineering projects within Buildings. You will oversee technical quality, programme, and commercial performance while guiding engineers and technicians.

You’ll manage resources, coordinate designs, engage with clients, contribute to bids, and support business development. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and maintaining high standards of safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with ICE, or working toward chartership.
• Strong experience delivering civil engineering design for building developments.
• Experience in the local market with understanding of clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SAB legislation and experience managing projects through the SAB process.
• Experience leading teams and managing project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of civil engineering projects with oversight on quality, programme, and commercial performance.
• Guide engineers and technicians; ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, and deliverable to QA and safety standards.
• Manage resource planning, workload allocation and team development; address challenges and identify improvements.
• Engage with clients, support bids and tender submissions, and contribute to securing a sustainable pipeline of work.
• Contribute to innovation, technical standards, and divisional initiatives.
