Job summary

LHH is helping a well regarded international law firm recruit a Senior Associate to strengthen its Manchester Global Finance Group. The role focuses on Asset Based Lending (ABL) with exposure to broader finance work, requiring about 4–7 years' PQE and qualified Solicitors with English market experience.

You'll join a sizeable team handling cross-border matters, owning key documents and contributing to BD efforts both regionally and with the London office.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction and 2+ years English market experience.
• Finance law experience with some ABL exposure.
• Strong knowledge of ABL structures and an international outlook.
• Can lead a matter: owning key documents, reporting to the partner, guiding junior team members.
• Commercially minded, client-focused, and comfortable with business development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building under pressure.

Responsibilities

• ABL transactions as core focus, with scope into leveraged finance, PLC lending and real estate finance.
• Represent lenders and borrowers on complex ABL deals.
• Cross-border transaction work with international offices.
• Own key finance documents: credit agreements, intercreditor agreements, security documents.
• Contribute to business development regionally and with London team.
• Develop sector specialism over time and collaborate with UK offices.
