Job summary

THG is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to support stock management and end-to-endPO processes in its THG Beauty division, based in Manchester. You will collaborate with suppliers, buyers and the merchandising team to optimize stock, drive bestselling brands, and deliver actionable reports on stock health and performance.

You will help develop trade strategies, manage replenishment, and contribute to efficiency improvements while supporting junior staff and ensuring timely stock availability

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising or assistant merchandising role.
• Strong numerical and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to manage trade and stock effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end purchase order management with focus on on-time delivery and stock.
• Resolve inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaise with suppliers and buyers.
• Understand department trade to maximise bestselling products.
• Use critical path and trading knowledge to maximise brands and stock potential.
• Support clearance of underperforming stock.
• Build and circulate regular and ad-hoc reports.
• Contribute ideas for department trade and strategy.
• Maintain strong brand relationships to support critical path needs.
• Independently stock manage a portfolio of brands, weekly replenishment.
• Collaborate with buying counterpart to align on plan.

Why be an Assistant Merchandiser at THG Beauty?

Reporting into the department Merchandiser, you will be assisting in the management of the intake and stock profile of your department through supporting the critical path process and problem solving to improve efficiencies. You will have a key focus on trade and use your knowledge to help drive department KPIs.

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll:

• Oversee end to end purchase order management with long term focus on reaching optimum on site stock availability; ensuring that all orders are on track for on time delivery with admin through maintenance of the team delivery schedule.
• Reviewing and resolving inbound issues with Supply and Warehouse teams; liaising with suppliers and buyers to resolve queries.
• Understand department trade and how to maximise bestsellers within their role
• Uses critical path influence and trading knowlegde to ensure brands and bestsellers reach their full potential
• Supports the clearanace of under performing stock
• Builds, refreshes and circulates regular and ad-hoc reports
• Contributes ideas for department trade and strategy
• Builds and maintains strong brand relationships in order to support critical path and business needs
• Independently stock manage a portfolio of brands / suppliers, carrying out weekly replen, attending brand calls and driving overall stock health.
• Works closely and collaboratively with buying counterpart
• Always looking for ways to improve ways of working and efficiencies on the team
• Oversees general housekeeping duties
• Supporting and coaching of junior members of staff
