A leading consultancy in the UK is seeking a Lead Consultant to enhance their asset management capabilities. The role involves leading project delivery, managing teams, and developing strategies to maximize asset value. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in infrastructure asset management and a relevant degree. The position offers a hybrid working model with opportunities for professional growth.
This multi-disciplinary consultancy with approximately 120 employees provides a wide range of Asset Management, Engineering, Commercial, Customer Programmes, and Strategic Advisory services to clients across the water, energy, and environment sectors in the UK.
The business is established on a solid foundation of diversity—diversity of skills, cultures, personalities, perspectives, and experiences. It is this diversity that unifies the team and enables it to offer holistic and innovative solutions to its clients' most pressing needs.
As a Lead Consultant, you will play an important role in developing the asset management capability while helping clients maximize the value from their assets and adapt to long-term challenges. Asset Management Consultants provide advisory services to infrastructure clients in the UK and beyond.
Your focus will include areas such as (regulatory) business planning, asset strategy, service delivery, risk management, and asset management maturity (ISO55001). You will also support the wider business in asset management best practices. Reporting to the Associate Director of Asset Management, you will be part of a growing team with opportunities for development and progression.
This role involves working on various projects, adapting to client needs and sectors. Clients are central to your work, and you are expected to constructively challenge norms and seek continuous improvement.
The company operates a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from any of the UK offices, client locations, or from home. Travel to client sites is expected twice a week.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in infrastructure asset management within sectors such as water, gas, electricity, or related industries. Experience in managing teams to achieve objectives is essential. You should have expertise in asset strategy, regulatory business planning, or asset planning, along with a thorough understanding of the UK regulated utilities industry and its challenges.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with the Institute of Asset Management Diploma or Certificate, is highly desirable. Chartered status or working towards chartership in a relevant institution is preferred.
