The business is founded on a diverse mix of skills, cultures, personalities, perspectives, and experiences, which unites the team and enables it to offer holistic and innovative solutions to clients' most pressing needs.

The Position

As a Lead Consultant, you will play a key role in developing the asset management capability, helping clients maximize the value of their assets and adapt to long-term challenges. Asset Management Consultants provide advisory services to infrastructure clients in the UK and beyond.

You will focus on areas such as (regulatory) business planning, asset strategy, service delivery, risk management, and asset management maturity (ISO55001). This role involves working on various projects, adapting to client needs and sectors. Clients are central to your work, and you will be expected to challenge norms constructively and seek continuous improvement.

The business operates a hybrid working model, with the role based at any UK office, combined with work at client locations and from home. Travel to client offices is expected twice a week.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Lead project delivery, ensuring team accountability and quality of outputs
  2. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering growth and engagement
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders
  4. Support leadership in identifying opportunities and developing proposals for future projects
  5. Present outputs effectively to clients
  6. Develop justified and efficient (regulatory) business plans
  7. Develop and implement asset management plans and strategies
  8. Enhance asset data utilization to deliver optimal solutions
  9. Create long-term adaptive strategies
  10. Design bespoke investment delivery processes
  11. Optimize decision-making processes

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in infrastructure asset management within water, gas, electricity, or related industries, including team management experience. You should have expertise in asset strategy, regulatory business planning, and asset planning, with a solid understanding of the UK regulated utilities industry and its challenges.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field, along with the Institute of Asset Management Diploma or Certificate, is highly desirable. Chartered status or working towards chartership in a relevant institution is preferred.
