Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join the Aseptic Services team at Poole Hospital. You will support aseptic manufacture of cytotoxic medicines and help maintain an efficient Pharmacy service.

The role requires at least 4 GCSEs including Maths, English and Science and may involve late/earlies, weekends and bank holidays. Part-time or job-share options may be considered.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths, English and Science at Grade C/4 or above.
• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
• Experience with Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
• Previous aseptic experience.

Responsibilities

• Aseptically prepare dispensed medicines.
• Select and assemble drugs and consumables.
• Monitor temperatures in aseptic unit clean rooms.
• Undertake stock management.
• Maintain high cleanliness standards.
