Job summary

Network Rail Scotland is seeking a Senior Engineer (Asbestos) to lead asbestos management across Scotland's assets. You will provide expert technical leadership to support safe, compliant asset operations and drive improvements in risk management and strategy.

You will coordinate duties across the Assurance team, update regional plans, and deliver training to embed the asbestos management plan. A strong background in legislation and cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as regional single point of contact for asbestos management.
• Update ORAMP and supporting materials.
• Deliver workshops and familiarisation sessions to embed the asbestos management plan.
• Coordinate and manage annual asbestos management re-surveys and remediation works.
• Perform Level 1 assurance of DEAM asbestos management activities.
• Perform Level 2 assurance of Maintenance, Works Delivery and Capital Delivery.
• Maintain regional asbestos KPIs and reporting.
• Liaise with Maintenance DUs to improve processes.
• Participate in national asbestos management working groups.
