Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment is working with a well-established architectural practice in Newark seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to lead technical delivery on large industrial projects, across multiple RIBA Work Stages. You will coordinate drawings, liaise with clients and consultants, and mentor junior staff.

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD and solid knowledge of UK Building Regulations are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous senior-level experience as Architectural Technician/Technologist.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations.
• Experience coordinating technical drawing packages.
• Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate with clients and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Take a senior role in design and technical delivery of large-scale projects.

Our client is a well‑established and highly regarded architectural practice based in Newark, with over 95 staff across three UK offices and is seeking a talented Senior Architectural Technologist to join their team. The practice has grown steadily over the last 15 years and has established a strong national reputation for delivering large‑scale architectural projects across the Industrial and Infrastructure sectors. The practice specialises in a broad range of industrial projects, including warehousing, manufacturing, energy from waste, film and TV studios, aviation and transport, and data centres. Projects can range from complex individual facilities through to large‑scale multi‑unit developments. With a significant proportion of work coming from reliable repeat clients, the practice offers excellent long‑term prospects and the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within an experienced and supportive team.

Senior Architectural Technologist Overview

• Take a senior role in the design and technical delivery of a variety of large‑scale architectural projects
• Work across multiple RIBA Work Stages, from early design and planning through to technical delivery and construction
• Prepare and coordinate detailed technical drawing packages and project information
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders
• Assist with the coordination of design information and ensure projects are delivered to a high technical standard
• Attend site visits and assist with resolving technical and construction‑related issues
• Support and mentor junior members of the architectural team
• Contribute to the continued development and success of the wider studio

Senior Architectural Technologist Requirements

• Previous experience working as an Architectural Technician / Technologist at a senior level
• Industrial‑sector experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Experience across a range of RIBA Work Stages is desirable
• Strong technical knowledge and an understanding of UK Building Regulations
• Experience producing and coordinating technical drawing packages
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD would be preferred, although candidates with strong experience in either software will be considered
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants and contractors
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage workload and work independently
• Candidates must be comfortable working five days per week from the Newark office
• Applicants should ideally live within approximately a 40‑minute commute of Newark
