Job summary

Calibre Search is assisting an award-winning architectural practice in Newcastle by recruiting a Senior Architectural Technologist. The role covers healthcare, residential, industrial and logistics sectors, with an urgent need due to a long-term absence and a focus on delivering robust technical packages.

You will work closely with senior leadership, take ownership of technical packages, coordinate construction information, and liaise with consultants, contractors and clients to sustain delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical packages from RIBA Stage 3 to 6.
• Strong detailing and construction knowledge.
• Experience coordinating technical information and specifications.

Job Title: Senior Architectural Technologist

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Location: Newcastle

The Practice

Our client is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary architectural practice with a network of design studios across the UK. Known for combining strong design credentials with commercial delivery, the practice works across a broad sector mix including healthcare, industrial and logistics, residential and high-rise, education, and mixed-use, with a project split roughly even between regional and national work.

The Opportunity

This is an urgent requirement for an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join the Newcastle studio, covering an unplanned long term absence within the team. The role offers immediate involvement in a varied and active pipeline, including healthcare, residential, industrial and logistics, and other regional and national schemes.

This is a technically focused role within a studio at an important stage of its growth, working closely with senior leadership and playing a key part in maintaining delivery momentum across current projects.

What They're Looking For

• Proven experience operating at Senior Architectural Technologist level, able to take ownership of technical packages with minimal oversight
• Strong detailing and construction knowledge, comfortable working across RIBA Stages 3 to 6
• Experience producing and coordinating technical information, specifications and construction packages
• No specific healthcare sector experience required, full context and support given on current projects
• Ability to hit the ground running given the urgency of the requirement
• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising directly with consultants, contractors and clients
