Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist to lead and deliver projects across industrial, retail and commercial sectors. You will guide technical design through to construction, coordinating with clients, consultants and contractors on site.

The role requires hands-on management of technical design, statutory approvals and construction details, with strong drawing packages and specification skills.

Qualifications

• Five–ten years of UK practice experience with strong technical delivery and job-running responsibility.
• Experience delivering new-build, extension, or refurbishment projects in industrial, retail or commercial sectors.
• Ability to lead projects on site and act as the main client/contractor contact.
• Solid knowledge of building regulations and CDM 2015; coordinating statutory compliance.
• UK driving licence and access to vehicle for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Run projects through RIBA Stages 4–6, managing programmes, technical decisions and day-to-day communications with the project team.
• Lead the preparation of technical drawing packages, construction details and NBS specifications.
• Coordinate Building Regulations submissions and discharge of planning conditions; manage fire strategy information.
• Chair or attend design team and site meetings and coordinate consultant information to resolve technical issues.
• Respond to contractor queries, review subcontractor submissions and monitor on-site quality.
• Collaborate with structural, civil, M&E, fire engineering and envelope specialists to deliver coordinated solutions.
