Job summary

Morson is supporting a major UK rail infrastructure programme and seeks an experienced Senior/Principal Architect to join the client-side Design Team. You will provide architectural assurance, shape the architectural quality of assets and work with Lead Architect, engineers, contractors and consultants to protect design intent from detailed design through construction.

As Design Concept Guardian you will ensure consistency and long-term quality, coordinating across disciplines and delivery

Qualifications

• ARB registration and/or RIBA membership.
• Significant experience as an architect in multidisciplinary design and delivery.
• Experience on major infrastructure or rail projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural design development and technical delivery.
• Ability to interpret technical requirements in transportation environments.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, consultants and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Architect across architectural design assurance and project delivery.
• Provide specialist architectural advice to the client and partners.
• Review contractor and consultant design deliverables against specs and standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to resolve design interfaces.
• Prepare and respond to RFIs and planning submissions.
• Maintain design consistency across delivery units and contracts.
