Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Senior Architect to join the Advisory team in the UK. You will lead a small to medium technical team, producing deliverables that meet quality, cost and programme targets, and supervise junior staff as needed.

This role focuses on nuclear and highly regulated infrastructure, including decommissioning, defence programmes, SMRs, and new build. We value NSQEP recognition, safety culture, and strong design and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Registered as an Architect with ARB in the UK.
• Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
• Experience leading architectural teams on regulated infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team producing technically sound architectural deliverables.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Oversee budgets and commercial performance of projects.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers at peer level; attend progress meetings.
• Contribute to bids and the business development function.
• Work on site as required, including out-of-hours work.
• Take people manager responsibilities when required.
