Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a qualified Architect to lead major projects nationwide, delivering high-quality design and technical detailing. The role demands experience across Blue Light, Defense, Health and Education sectors and strong team leadership.

You will manage contracts, drive design processes, and ensure compliance with CDMC and RIBA Plan of Work guidelines, using REVIT, BIM and CAD tools to coordinate complex information and deliver successful bids and projects.

Qualifications

• Qualified Architect with excellent design capabilities and technical detailing skills.
• Experience in Blue Light, Defense, Health and Education projects.
• Hands-on, immersive team management style.
• Knowledgeable of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013.
• Proficient in REVIT, BIM and CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Leading substantial and complex projects, coordinating teams to deliver work programmes.
• Taking responsibility for commercial performance and resource schedules.
• Participating in detailed design, presenting concepts and detailed drawings, coordinating information.
• Administering contracts including JCT and NEC, evaluating environmental, legal and regulatory issues.
• Contributing to commercial bids and promoting the business at external events.

Location: Nationwide

Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Salary

Salary: starting from £40,000

Requirements

A qualified Architect with excellent design capabilities and technical detailing skills

Experience in Blue Light, Defense, Health and Education projects

Experienced in team management with a hands-on, immersive approach

Knowledgeable across all sectors of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013

Proficient in Contract Administration, Site Supervision, Project Management and CDMC regulations

Highly competent in using REVIT, BIM and relevant CAD software packages

Responsibilities

• Leading substantial and complex projects, managing and co‑ordinating others to ensure effective delivery of work programmes
• Taking responsibility for the commercial performance of projects under your control and preparing resource schedules to match workload forecasts
• Participating in detailed design processes, preparing and presenting concept and detailed drawings, and co‑ordinating design information
• Administering a range of contracts including JCT and NEC suites, and evaluating environmental, legal and regulatory issues
• Contributing to commercial bids, leading local and national bids, networking to generate opportunities and promoting the business at external events
