Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group invites a visionary Enterprise Architect to lead architectural strategy across complex data and cloud platforms within a regulated financial services environment. You will own end-to-end target state architecture and champion governance across diverse systems.

You will drive AI/ML integration, establish secure practices, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with at least 3+ years as Principal or Senior Architect
• Experience designing large-scale, high-throughput enterprise distributed systems
• Deep data architecture experience with Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and data mesh/lakehouse patterns
• Strong background in data integration and relational platforms
• Proven track record designing highly available hybrid/multi-cloud architectures (Azure & AWS)
• AI/ML architecture experience including LLM integration and AI tooling for enterprise apps
• Security governance, secure SDLC, data privacy and compliance in regulated financial services environments
• Proven ability to influence across engineering pods, product managers, and senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end target state architecture across systems, data platforms, and cloud integrations
• Publish and maintain architectural blueprints, patterns, and engineering standards
• Lead Architecture Review Board (ARB) ensuring designs meet NFRs (scalability, maintainability, performance, security)
• Lead AI strategy: roadmap, governance, and integration of AI/ML capabilities
• Drive data readiness with scalable data pipelines (MLOps/LLMOps) for model training and inference
• Mentor Principal Engineers and Tech Leads; balance standardization with agile delivery
• Investigate performance bottlenecks and incidents; prototype and validate new architectures before scale
