Job summary

Global Law Firm in London is seeking an Enterprise Data Architect to lead the data architecture strategy and deliver a scalable Azure-based data platform. You will guide data governance, modelling and AI-ready capabilities across the business, with line management of two Data Architects.

The role requires extensive experience in large organisations, strong leadership, and a proven track record in lakehouse design and enterprise data platforms.

The Role

An exciting opportunity to join a global organisation undergoing a significant transformation across Data, AI and enterprise architecture. You'll take ownership of the enterprise data architecture strategy, leading the design of a modern Azure-based data platform while shaping how data products, governance and AI capabilities are embedded across the business. This is a leadership role with line management responsibility for two Data Architects, working closely with Architecture, Engineering, Data and AI teams to deliver a scalable, governed data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap
• Lead the design of modern Azure lakehouse and data platform architectures
• Shape and embed enterprise data governance, modelling and architecture standards
• Drive the adoption of a data product operating model across the organisation

Key Requirements

• Extensive experience as an Enterprise Data Architect within large, complex organisations

• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, MDM and enterprise data modelling
• Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives and modern AI data platforms
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and collaborating across multiple architecture disciplines
