Civic is seeking a Project Manager to lead archaeological fieldwork projects across the Home Counties and Greater London. The role is based in the South East with hybrid working; attend the studio part of the week.

You will plan, coordinate and deliver projects, manage staff and equipment, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while delivering post-excavation reports with the team and liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in dealing with complex archaeological sites.
• Proficiency in GIS, CAD, and database systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Degree in Archaeology/History (or related).
• UK driving licence.
• Chartered Institute for Archaeologists membership.

Responsabilités

• Plan, manage, and deliver multiple archaeological fieldwork projects with coordinated programmes, resources and budgets.
• Coordinate logistics: staffing, plant, equipment, site setup and welfare.
• Liaise with contractors, clients and local planning archaeologists.
• Maintain records for audits and archive deposition.
• Produce post-excavation reports with the post-excavation team.
• Input into bids and prepare Project Designs / WSI and RAMS.
• Ensure time management and supervise others.
• Community engagement/educational presentations when required.
• Self-checking and reviewing team work and ensure regulatory compliance.
